OUR LONG NEWFOUNDLAND HISTORY…
Woodstock Public House is the oldest restaurant on the Avalon and was established more than 85 years ago in 1927. It all started with a carriage house serving hearty meals and a cozy resting place for travelers on the road to St. John’s, a convenient place where they could rest & water their horses in the river that runs along the property.

Today, Woodstock’s guest enjoy a relaxing meal served in a quaint cottage. The main dining room is filled with a cozy fireplace, antiques, knickknacks & collectables. Over the years Woodstock has been become a popular location for locals and visitors to the island to dining with friends or loved ones, for family celebrations, private parties, tent weddings & corporate gatherings.
